A Crowded Heart ... there's an APP for that

Experiencing radical contentment in a crowded heart - could there be any more significant theme for our day than contentment? We live in an utterly discontent culture. We are discontent with what we have, we are discontent with what we look like. We are discontent with our lot in life. We are basically discontent with the circumstances and the difficulties that come our way. We are discontent! Naturally the question immediately posed is: How can we experience radical contentment in a crowded heart? It may seem like a paradox, but it isn't. Contentment begins with a new heart. The one we were born with is filled with the disease of self. Only Jesus can give us this new heart, and only then can we learn the secret to radical contentment. In our techno-driven world, there may just be an APP for that, too.

With Guest Speaker Judy Hampton:

Judy Hampton is a popular speaker who is best known for her entertaining speaking style and communication skills. She is transparent, authentic, extremely humorous, and biblically sound. Her strong relationships energize her humorous illustrations, and her powerful messages have audiences laughing out loud one minute and wiping a tear the next. She is a respected international keynote speaker for women’s conferences and retreats, speaking over thirty weekends a year. She is comfortable with audiences of 6,000 and equally at home with a small group.

And Worship Leader Bonnie Knopf:

Bonnie Knopf is all heart, and we are excited to welcome her back this year! A compassionate Christian who gives voice to those who are on a spiritual journey, she seeks to lift and lighten the burden of those seeking His heart. She sings about “picking up Tonka Trucks, Barbie dolls and dirty socks off the floor, the pain of broken friendships and finding peaceful moments in a chaotic world,”quotes Robin Franzen, Gresham Outlook newspaper.

Since 1986, Bonnie has released six albums, her newest one titled “Do Not Fear.” Her recordings are described as “giving one the feel of dipping into the prayer journal of one who is recording the issues and spiritual discoveries of her life. There’s nothing         pretentious or contrived; simple scripturally based songs straight from the heart … very powerful. Her warm clear voice will coax you into God’s presence.”
